Women Employment through Sustainable Access to Finance and Skills (WESAF) Project


Sahakarya Nepal, Sindhuli, in coordination with Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (FWEAN) has been implementing a four years (January, 2018 to December, 2021) project “Women Employment through Sustainable Access to Finance and Skills (WESAF)” with the financial support from Women’s Bank/FCA. The main objective of this project is to promote the economic and social rights of women in the target area of Sindhuli district by developing, expanding and strengthening women-led local institutions. It covers Dudhauli Municipality, Kamalamai Municipality and Tinpatan Rural Municipality of Sindhuli district with targeting 2900 women, school drop out girls and survivals of domestic violence. It has promoted and strengthened 8 women-led cooperatives in its operational area. As of July, 2021, a total of 3004 rural women have been affiliated as share members of these cooperatives and share capital reached NPR 8,951,358.00.
